highpointers.org

The summit of Black Mountain is private property and surrounded coal mines and requires a waiver to visit.  You can now get it on highpointers.org

The Penn Valley Coal Company owns the summit and in an agreement since 1999 has permitted Highpointers to access the summit only if they sign a liability waiver. Effective May 2008 the liability form is now on highpointers.org.
