Waiver Required for Climbing Black Mountain, Kentucky
Friday, May 28th, 2004The summit is owned by Penn Valley Coal Company. The State of Kentucky in 2000 bought the summit timber and mineral rights in a very contentious and high profile battle for $4 Million during which access was cut off.
