Registration has started for the 2010 Highpointers Club Annual Convention
It will be Held October 7th - 9th Highlighting the Mississippi Highpoint on Woodall Mountain.
New Jersey High Point State Park Superintendent John Keator talked about the park at the 2009 Highpointers Convention at High Point. John paid his own way despite our offers to pay for his dinner. He has some amazing stories about alpine New Jersey.
The Highpointers Annual Convention and Membership Meetings rotate from region to region and are held 
in one of four geographical areas in the United States each year.
For those who have the “Highpoint Calling” they’re an almost religious experiences where you meet others obsessed with our noble and unique hobby.

John Mitchler discussed notable completers in 2009 during the Highpointers Convention in New Jersey. Among the completers was an 81-year-old man plus John also completed all the U.S. territories.

The New Jersey 2009 Convention had the worst weather of any convention including an F2 tornado that hit the grounds of the high point! Yet it broke at all the right times. Below is an email that went out from co-host Roger Rowlett to all convention goers.
Steve and I want to thank everybody who came to the New Jersey 09 convention.
We remain amazed at what a great group we have and proactive everybody is stepping up without being asked or prodded to help.
We’re still processing the photos and hope have a DVD out soon (much of it was shot in HDTV 1080i glory). We’ll let you know more about that later.
