On Thursday morning, 21 July 2005, I had to drive from Arlington, Va., to Philadelphia, Pa., so I determined to conquer Ebright Azimuth en route.
I exited northbound I-95 at US-202 (Concord Pike) and drove north to DE-92 (Naamans Road). I turned right (east) on Naamans and continued a short distance to Ebright Road, where I turned left (north). The “Ebright Azimuth” sign was at the corner of Ebright and Ramblewood, as advertised. I pulled around the corner on Ramblewood and parked in front of the house on the corner of the next street. It was about 11:00a EDT.
I walked over to the sign and took a couple of snapshots, and on my way back to the car I was met by the woman who lives in the house on the corner. I didn’t get her name, but doubtless other highpointers have also met her. She had me sign a logbook, volunteered to take a snapshot of me with my camera, and told me all about the highpoint and its location.
I think this was state highpoint number 21 for me.
