We chose the day after Father’s Day to do a three generation summit. The trail is wide, mostly jeep or four wheeler, right to the summit. Another Eagle Scout project makes this one of the nicer summits. The area has been cleared of brush, log benches have been provided in addition to a very nice sign and sign in box. They marked the trails and had some historical info about highpoint legend Jack Longacre. While the trail is wide enough for a jogger (Alli is just three and rode most of the way) it is a surprisingly fun hike. Two words of caution, stop in Arcadia for the restroom facilities as you would have to be desperate to use the outhouses by the church and there is no water available.
