President’s Column on 2005 Board Election

Don Holmes Presidential message in 2004-4th Quarter Apex to Zenith Newsletter.

It is time once again to begin the process of electing five members to the Highpointers Club Board of Directors. It starts with nominating qualified members. Any of you may nominate a member, with their prior permission, that meets the qualifications set out in the Club Bylaws. These qualifications are as follows: (1) nominees must be active members, meaning dues paid up, (2) the nominee must be able to attend at least two (2) of the three (3) Conventions during his or her term in office, and (3) a nominee must have access to electronic mail. We are always look for “new blood” to join the Board. Nominating a candidate for the Board is your way of actively participating in the business of the Club. If you are aware of a qualified member that you think would be an excellent addition to the Board, please consider a nomination.

We had a very successful convention in the Settle, Washington, area. Will Mokszycki and his convention committee did an outstanding job. I want to express my sincere thanks to all of you that organized the convention and, also, to all of you that attended. I am sure all attendees had a great time. The 2005 convention will be held in New Hampshire on the first weekend in September. I urge all you to make plans to attend. As usual, I am sure it will be an occasion to remember. There is information on the convention in this Newsletter. The conventions provide an opportunity to meet old friends and make new ones. The conventions get better every year. Lets make this one the best yet.

Regards,

Don Holmes
President, Highpointers Club
