So, you’ve traveled hundreds, maybe thousands of miles to the New Jersey area. You’ve been on a train ride to the Big Apple, munched away at a barbecue, listened to seminars, watched the sunset, rock climbed in the ‘Gunks, went canoeing, tubing, or kayaking, enjoyed yet another happy hour and a pancake breakfast, you’ve hiked in and around the High Point summit, and stuffed yourself at the Annual Banquet while being suitably entertained.

Highpointers 2009 Convention Schedule

Remember, we are constantly adjusting the schedule.

The 2009 Highpointer’s Convention will be headquartered at the Best Western at Hunt’s Landing, Matamoras, Pennsylvania (1-84, Exit 53). Registration and all major events will take place or begin at the host hotel.

Rooms can be booked by calling the Inn directly at (570) 491-2400. Highpointers will be afforded a weekday rate of $109.00 per room and a weekend rate of $114.00 per room. More information on the Best Western can be found at their web site www.bestwesternhuntslanding.com. although the highpointer room rate is not available online. There are also a number of other hotels, bed and breakfasts, and camping sites in the immediate vicinity.

Survival Guide for the New York City Field Trip

Nearly 100 people have signed up for the New York City trip on Thursday, July 30, 2009 during the Highpointers Convention at High Point, New Jersey.

Because of the large number of people going on these event, we are going to run it informally so that you can drop off and do what you want at various points. This schedule is aimed at getting people to Rockefeller Center for NBC. We will follow the schedule below but we cannot get that big of crowd on buses which will already be crowded with tourists. We will provide maps, schedules of bus and train services.

Details of July 31 Tri-State Canoe Trip During Highpointers 2009 Convention

Here are the details of the canoe float trip down the Delaware River to visit the NY/PA/NJ  Tri-State Marker on Friday, July 31st during the 2009 Highpointers Convention at High Point, New Jersey.

Details of Urbanski Farms Convention Kickoff Bar-B-Que on July 29

Urbanski Farms
The 2009 Highpointers Convention kicks off at 4 pm, Wednesday, July 29. with a bar-b-que and East/West softball game at Urbanski Farm’s, 3130 Church Road, Mountain Top, Pennsylvania.

People can camp on the grounds. It is 90 minutes from the convention hotel at the Best Western Hunts Landing in Matamoras, Pennsylvania.

Food and drink will be provided.
