Activities Around Pensacola Beach
Members were recently asked which activities they were most interested in, and snorkeling received the most votes.
Snorkeling and other local activities are still being planned and are not yet official Konvention events. The Florida Konvention team will be contacting activity providers around Pensacola Beach to explore group discounts for attendees.
Individual activities will also have designated Highpointer group liaisons to help participants coordinate plans. Liaisons and activities will be announced in early 2027.
Activities may be staggered so attendees can participate in more than one.
Highpointer-Led Seminars
A new idea coming out of the 2026 West Virginia Konvention is a series of Highpointer-led seminars.
The Florida team is considering 2–6 sessions, each lasting 30–60 minutes, presented by fellow highpointers.
Possible topics could include:
- Highpointing on a Budget
- Planning a 50-state highpointing journey
- Preparing for technical highpoints
- The Big One: How to Summit Denali
- Highpointing stories, history, gear, or travel
Have an idea? Send the Konvention team at fl*******************@***il.com.

Sea to Summit
Planning is also underway for a possible Sea-to-Summit attempt, traveling from the Florida coast to Britton Hill.
The project will be spearheaded by Mick Dunn. If you are interested in participating, contact him at mi*******@***il.com.
