Based on suggestions from local members, there will be several non-club events to make the trip to North Carolina more enjoyable. The latest information (along with other hike hook ups) will be posted on www.highpointers.org, in future newsletters and at the Blue Ridge Conference Center during the convention. So please check them out on a regular basis.
Wednesday and Thursday, August 2nd & 3rd: Hikes and Waterfalls – We have several members that are pretty well informed on these subjects and plans are in the works for these. Biltmore Estate, Grandfather Mountain and possibly some of the “Southern Six-Pack”? More information will be posted when available.
Friday, August 4th: Craft Shows – On this weekend there are several activities in Asheville. The Biltmore Village is having their annual craft fair and the Asheville Civic Center is also having their annual craft fair.
