Following is a schedule of events for the Highpointers Convention July 14-17 in Ohio.

Thursday, July 14, 2011

8:00 AM – 3:00 PM Rock Klimbing – John Bryan State Park with Bill, followed by late lunch at Yellow Springs. Meet Bill at Campbell Hill, Hi-Point Career Center, 2280 State Route 540, Bellefontaine, OH 43311 (red A on map) at 8:00 am or Park Entrance at 9:00 am.

12:00 PM – 9:00 PM Registration – on Campbell Hill (yes, the highpoint itself), Bellefontaine, Ohio. Runs thru Saturday

Exhibits – (Denali Basecamp, Gear Room, Knot Tying, Fixed Line, Highpoint Powerpoint; Ohio Kaverns Display, Nearby Attractions Display, etc.) available for view at Hi-Point Career Center. On display thru Sunday.

Merc – open at Hi-Point Career Center, thru Sunday

8:00 AM – 9:00 PM Registration Continues – on Campbell Hill

8:00 AM – Kar Pool Group Meet-Ups – at Campbell Hill, for trips to:
1. Indiana Highpoint
2. Kounty Highpointing
3. Other Local Interest Tourism Sites

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Klimbin’ Klasses – Denali Basecamp / Winter Kamping; Knot Tying; Map &
& Kompass; Gear Room; Fixed Line / Glacier Travel; Highpoint
3:00 PM – 4:00 PM Powerpoint Presentations

5:30 PM – 9:00 PM Bratwurst BBQ at Ohio Caverns, 2210 East State Route 245 West Liberty, Ohio 43357 (Blue B on map – south of Bellefontaine) – Tours of caverns run throughout the event.

9:30 PM – 12:00 AM Liar’s Klub Bonfire – A & E Kampground (formerly Get Away Lakes Campground) 3299 State Route 540, Bellefontaine, OH 43311 (Green C on map northeast of Bellefontaine)

10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Klimbin’ Klasses Kontinue – Denali Basecamp / Winter Kamping;
& Knot Tying; Map & Kompass; Gear Room; Fixed Line / Glacier Travel;
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM Highpoint Powerpoint

12:15 PM Group Hike across the parking lot to the Highpoint, followed by
Watermellon Feast on the summit.

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Highpoint Foundation Meeting – Hi-Point Career Center

2:00 PM – 4:00 PM Highpointer Board of Director Meeting – Hi-Point Career Center

5:00 PM – 6:30 PM Kocktails / Hors D’oeuvres at Huntsville Event Center, 6886 Wishart Street, Huntsville, OH (Yellow D on map north of Bellefontaine)

6:30 PM – 9:30 PM Banquet / Annual Meeting at Huntsville Event Center
