This is not so much news as it is just a cool picture from one of the observatories on Mauna Kea.

We posted this one on Facebook yesterday, but it was too good not to share here.  A family has a great story about a tough hike and making a new friend on Mt. Washington.

Unfortunately, there is sad news coming from Mt. Whitney.  John Lee, a hiker who had been missing since Tuesday, was found dead Sunday.
