      3-7-18 A tower is being constructed at the summit of Sassafras Mtn. The construction site is off-limits, officially. You can go up from the parking lot, but risk being prosecuted (according to the sign) or scolded by construction workers. You might want to postpone this one until next year.

      Is the tower pertaining to the highpoint or something unrelated? I would assume that it is related as there is nothing else up there. SC is one of those states that desperately needed to do something with their highpoint. I would make a return visit if they have improved the area.
