My son and I finally made the elusive HP #10, the day before Thanksgiving. We hiked to the top of Backbone MT. Maryland, after a 4.5 hour drive from SE PA. Quite a steep hike for such a short distance, and it was foggy and rainy all day. The view was OK at the top, but I imagine it is quite nice on a clear day. No one else in sight that day, but a couple of pickups were parked on the way up, and I assume they were deer hunters. We signed the log at the top, and then headed home. For several reasons we had trouble getting here, and were glad we finally did. On to # 11……
