Highpointers Club in Providence Journal Article

Peter Mandel on the Providence Journal mentions corresponding with the Highpointers Club and the accompanying photo shows the Club signs on Jerimoth Hill in an article on October 17, 2010 headlined “How my assault on Jerimouth Hill came up short.”

The article is quite a bit out of date but we appreciated the publicity which says:

According to e-mails I’d exchanged earlier with the Highpointers Club, a national climbing group of hikers dedicating to reaching the highest points of all 50 states, I’ve been told that I can get through only on a few annual “access dates” they’d negotiated with the owners.
